* Now testing with families

Tell it when you
need to be there.
It works out the rest.

RocketRoutine counts backward from your goal - shower, breakfast, shoes, out the door - so mornings stop being a maths problem for people who find clocks and countdowns genuinely hard.

Built around real accessibility guidance - not a colour swap and a dyslexia font.

The problem

Telling the time isn't the hard part.

For people with dyscalculia and time-blindness, the struggle usually isn’t reading a clock – it’s turning “8:30” into “I need to be in the shower in the next four minutes.” That translation, done again and again through a morning, is real cognitive work most routine apps just don’t account for.

Every RocketRoutine screen starts from the other direction: you say where you need to be, and the app does the backward maths – every time, automatically.

“He gets up on his own now. I’m not the countdown anymore.”

How it works

Three steps. No mental maths.

Set it up once – RocketRoutine handles the countdown every morning after.

1. Set the goal

“Start school, 08:30.” Add how long it takes to get there, and RocketRoutine knows what time the whole routine needs to begin.

2. Add the tasks

Shower, breakfast, brush teeth, pack bag – drag them into any order, pick which days they repeat.

3. Follow the countdown

A live timer shows exactly what’s now, what’s next, and how long is left – no clock-reading required.

Features

Built for how mornings actually go

Adaptive timer

Learns how long things really take

If getting dressed always takes 14 minutes, not the 10 you guessed, RocketRoutine notices – and quietly adjusts, instead of setting everyone up to fall behind on a fiction.

Flexible by design

Drag to reorder, tap to edit

Real mornings don’t run in a fixed order every day. Tasks can be dragged into a new sequence with a proper handle, and every routine can be edited any time – no rebuilding from scratch.

Parent & carer linking

A two-way conversation, not a lockout

Either side can propose a change – the other approves it. It’s not “parent controls, child watches”; it’s built to grow with someone as they take on more of their own routine, at whatever pace makes sense.

Term dates & holidays

Knows when not to nag

Bank holidays are already in there. Add term dates and INSET days once, and RocketRoutine quietly sits out the mornings that don’t need a countdown.

Always visible

Glance at your lock screen. That's it.

No unlocking, no hunting for the app mid-routine. The current task and exactly how long is left sit right there on the lock screen the whole time a routine is running.

For anyone who finds switching between tasks and screens genuinely hard, that’s one less thing standing between them and getting dressed — the time is already there the moment the screen lights up.

Accessibility, properly

We did the reading

Every choice below is grounded in published guidance, not assumption – including on this website. The body text you’re reading right now is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute specifically for low-vision and dyslexic readers.

Five accessible palettes

Dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD/ADD, autism spectrum and colour-blind-safe themes – including background tone, not just accent colour.

Reading comfort controls

Independent text size, line/letter spacing and high-contrast toggles – combine them however actually helps.

Colour is never the only signal

Every state that uses colour also uses an icon, label or shape.

Plain, direct language

No jargon, no clever copy. Instructions say exactly what happens.
